“Long live the Constitution,
the Constitution is alive!”

It is a three-year educational project aimed at children in years 4 and 5 of Italian primary schools. The initiative was created to mark the 75th anniversary of the entry into force of the Italian Constitution and is inspired by the desire to raise generations of citizens who participate and are aware of the importance their own contribution can have in every sphere of community life, starting from a thorough knowledge and sharing of the civil and democratic values that determine the rights and duties of every citizen.

The project is structured in a three-year course, as follows:

Year 1
(2023 – ’75th anniversary of the entry into force of the Italian Constitution’) focuses on learning about our Constitution.

Year 2
(2024 – ‘European Parliament election year’) offers an introduction to the operations of the European political institutions and international bodies that, in various capacities, protect and guarantee respect for freedom, peace, equality and democracy.

Year 3
(2025 ‘55th anniversary of the law that sanctioned the transfer of functions and personnel from the State to the Regions’) returns to a national dimension to introduce children to the local organs and bodies that contribute to the management of the nation in its many aspects.
